Let Go & Let God

"Let go and let God." I can’t tell you how many times I have had that said to me. It wasn’t until recently it hit me just how spot on that saying is! And what beautiful pathways open up when you truly let go and let God.
If you’ve been reading my posts the last month and a half you would have come across how I surrendered my writing career to God this year. A tough thing to give up but the blessings that have followed came in ways that I did not expect.
First, it started with stretching my limits, pulling me in directions of confusion, the enemy attacking my family with health, finances, friendships. But through it all I promised to keep my eyes on God. Instead of running or questioning with the big 'why God' I continued to press in to our Heavenly Father and promised to trust Him no matter what.
As I stood amidst the storm, I kept my head up and didn’t even fight it because I found the trust I so desperately needed in Christ. I knew without a doubt that my God had a plan where I would come out victorious.
So often we have good intentions, when the going gets tough. We hand our problems over to God, but the mind is a powerful thing and soon enough we begin to try and fight in our own strength once again. We allow the doubt to creep back in, because we can’t see God's entire plan, only what we perceive through our own eyes and thoughts.
Daughters of God, if I could tell you one thing it would be this... Trust in His plan. He always has one. As hard as it is let go of what is hurting or confusing you, know that when you look back in time you will see God’s hand in all of it. Sometimes what you thought would be his plan is no where near the path He has for you to take.
We left a place we loved and found the place we were supposed to be. I left a pen name I invested so much in, and in return God blessed my blog ministry.
That is how good our God is!
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6-7
I pray this post blessed you today and that God moves powerfully in your life, as you learn to trust Him completely. Oh & below are some shots I took while I wrote this post. Can't do it without the coffee & cheesecake right?
