Hold Tight to His Promise: It's About More Than A Virus Now.

My mind is tired and my heart is heavy right now. And let me be clear before I continue that this post does not fit in with my normal style. This was a post that woke me up at 4 in the morning urging to be written.
Living in Victoria this past year and a half has completely torn people down with weariness and confusion as the constant lockdowns continue and more rules and mandates are set into place. Families and friends on opposite spectrums about the vaccine that has been mandated into now many of the work sectors. The unvaxxed are being told they will not be able to go into places like cafes. Many are taking the vaccine not because they want to but because they need to feed their families. Churches are being told that only the vaccinated will be able to attend. And my heart is breaking!
Because what is happening, what Victorian’s are going through has nothing to do with Covid anymore. We’ve stopped caring about a virus and the fear the government have tried to associate with it by constantly repeating to get the vaccine. When we hit a certain percentage we will open up again. No one believes it. What our weary minds are now set upon is our lack of freedom.
As I was watching a live feed the other day of thousands protesting in Melbourne a man said it perfectly. "Freedom and mandate do not belong in the same sentence." And he’s right.
But here’s the sad thing. When the enemy presses you down over and over many begin to just give in hoping that the pain will end. That things will return to normal. But the truth is what we once knew as normal will be only just a memory.
For me, here in Victoria. The pressure is building and the pain is tipping over. Children cannot go to school, people are losing their businesses, their jobs. They are being told not to serve the unvaxxed or if they don’t get the jab they don’t have a job. No one trusts the main stream media any longer as they help push the chaos further with 30 second clips of violence shown out of a 9 hour mainly peaceful protest. They push a government agenda with basic paid off questions and then expect people to be happy with still unanswered questions. Many are starting to ponder the actual agenda of this tyranny that is causing our mental health system into overload.
Like I said this is not about a virus or pandemic anymore. It’s about people feeling enslaved, broken, confused, angry and frankly fed up.
But then I feel peace. I feel God in all of this as He reminds me daily that He has his hand on it all. He knows what tomorrow will hold and the day after that and the day after that day.
He sees the struggles world wide. The hunger, the wars, the lost , the broken. His eyes are open to it all!
He reminds me that He saw all of this and in all of this purpose is found. Our purpose is found…
We were born for this. The prophets, the prayer warriors, the servants, the mamas and papas as shields. We the people are the church and now is the time for the church to rise up. To stand for one and all and let the world know our God is powerful.
I’m just one little blog in a sea of millions, but God gave me a heart to reach the one. The one who may need to read this and be encouraged to keep going, to keep trusting in His promises, to keep praying, to keep loving.
I’m not the argumentative type, and I most certainly am not into politics because that arena is far too chaotic for me to cope with. But I am a voice to those that need comfort. And yes, our world is changing, yes it’s confusing and weary. Yes, our current circumstances make no sense. But keep hold of the thought that we were born for such a time as this. God gave us strength for the moments we are living and we need to use that strength now, stand upon it and give it freely to lift others up under God’s glory.
Be blessed, be a light 💡 Keep praying, keep loving, keep handing the situation over to your Heavenly Father.
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. - Ephesians 6:10-18
