Dream from God!

I woke up in an absolute sweat this morning. As the year is coming to end, I believe that God is beginning to press in on more people and urging them to pay attention, and one way He does this with me is through dreams. I don’t know why, but for a long time, as the year begins to wind down I begin to open up and that is when He floods me with images.

Last night I dreamed I was kneeling on dry cracked land at the edge of a cliff, it was hot and I felt the air thick. My arms were raised in front of me holding a shield as arrows came flying towards me, raining down from the sky. A dark sky that was thundering, lightning cracking to the ground. I turned my head and saw that I was not the only one holding up a shield, hundreds of others were forced to their knees also trying to stop the arrows that were raining down on them.

For, behold, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string To shoot in darkness at the upright in heart. Psalm 11:2

Beyond them I saw a lighthouse but it’s light was not on. An arrow that had skimmed past me hitting my shoulder pulled my focus back to what was happening and as I looked up to the dark sky again I cried out. “God help me! I can’t take much more of this!” Just then, a voice boomed “You can hold on. This has been hard on all who have stayed the path, but a peace is coming soon. Use my sons name, power and strength will come.”

As He said that a weariness fell over me, as if the struggle to even use that name would take every ounce of strength I had left in me. Then I whispered His name “Jesus.” Then I repeated it again, “Jesus.” But a little louder this time. All of a sudden I felt the energy in my body rising. The muscles in my arms and legs began to tighten. Before I knew it I was back on my feet with fire coming from mouth as I declared victory in the name of Jesus!

Is not My word like fire, declares the LORD, and like a hammer that smashes a rock?" Jeremiah 5:14

I looked around and saw that others too were on their feet throwing their shields to the ground and raising their hands to the Heavens! Then I looked beyond them to the light house. First a flicker here and there and then the most brilliant light lit it up. As it began working I watched as the sky began to clear of dark clouds and before long the stars twinkled. I looked beneath my feet and the dry cracked land began to close up and grass appeared beneath my feet. A feeling of peace poured over me and I felt I could finally take my first breath. And just like that I woke up...

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

What I love about this dream is that there was no hidden interpretation like some I have had, where I have had to wait on the Lord for direction. This was very clear.

Many of us in the body of Christ are battling right now, and we have been battling for years, trying our hardest to hold off the enemies attack. Our minds and bodies are tired, incident after incident is happening without a breather and we are feeling like we just can’t go any further in our faith. But we have forgotten one important thing... We have not been calling or using the name of Jesus at every turn. We have stopped declaring every moment of the day over all situations. The use is so sparse it is losing the effect. But it is time to rise! Whisper it over and over again at first if that is all you can mangage but never stop using it, declaring it and claiming victory with it!

Breakthrough is coming, a peace is coming, wisdom is coming, victory is coming, so keep shouting out Jesus! And claim your strength and power back! I believe the Lord has had many in a time of testing, seeing if we will continue to surrender our lives to Him, or if we will take up our way of doing things, lose faith in all that He has planned because we are tired of feeling as if we have been stuck in the same season. But we are growing! We are good and faithful servants. We have Gods power available to us!

'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!' Mathew 25:21
