All about Prayer - Sister Sunday Q&A

Welcome to my first Sister Sunday Q&A. I am so excited that God placed it on my heart to have a place where you can ask questions and others may really need to read that they aren't the only one struggling with questions. I am no expert, please let me clarify that. All I can bring you with my answers is how I work through them in my own journey. Okay, now that I've made that clear let's dive into the first question!
1. I do believe that God can do all things. What I struggle with, is will he answer my prayer due to certain things that have happened in my life. Do you ever feel that way? - Patricia.
I don't think that there is a person who hasn't been where you are. Even now I struggle with that very same thought on occasion. Will God answer my prayer? But I know that He does. I just had to realise that He does it in His way, not mine. Sometimes we see the fruit of answered prayer and it lines up with what we petitioned for. Other times it's only in hindsight that we see God answered that prayer just not in the way we had expected.
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." - Matthew 7:7
2. Do you put time aside for Prayer? And how do you find the time with children? I struggle so much to find quiet time to just pray with how distracted I can be being a mother of little ones, and I feel bad. - Kelly C.
First of all beautiful sister, please don't feel bad... Honestly, God knows where you are, and what season of motherhood you are walking in. I have to admit that when my sons were toddlers, I too rarely sat down to do any kind of bible study or devotion, let alone prayer time! In honesty I found that my quiet time with Him was usually while I was showering, and even then it was rarely quiet as my children ran in and out. And when life is busy it is easy to be distracted. But like I said above, God knows exactly where you are at, and He is a seriously patient Father.
Now, if you can find a moment to yourself I truly recommend holding onto it. One thing I have had to train myself to do is get up early, before the rest of the house is awake. At first not being a morning person it was so hard! That might not be convenient for you, so find something that is. It could be taking a drive, talking to Him while you are doing the washing, it could be in the quiet moments just before you drift off to sleep. God is always listening and waiting, and remember you can talk to Him all day every day as you go about your life.

Prayer Request.
I would love prayer that God would continue to open up doors and bring provision as we set up our new house in Uganda, for our Hope House Uganda Ministry. We need to furnish each room and be ready to receive those that God sends for us to bless. Thank you so much. - Lauren.
